What we collect
Your phone number or email — whichever you use to sign in.
Your payment photos — the pictures you take or upload.
Payment details — when you choose to process a payment, we read details like the amount, date, and sender from the photo.
Payment screenshots — when you buy credits, the proof-of-payment photo you send us.
Your payment accounts — the names, phone numbers, and account numbers you receive money on. You add these so we can sort your earnings from your spending; we never guess.
Basic usage info — like when you added a payment or topped up. We don't track you across other apps or websites.
How we use it
To keep your payments organised, searchable, and ready to export.
To send you a sign-in code by SMS or email.
To manage your credits and top-up requests.
To warn you about a possible duplicate or old-dated payment (Scam Shield). We only ever compare a payment against your own payments in your own account — never against other shops.
We never sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Reading your payments with AI
When you tap "Process", your payment photo is sent to our trusted AI partner (Anthropic) to read the details for you. This happens only when you choose to — never automatically. They use the photo just to read that one payment and don't keep it.
Using the free checker
If you use the free checker on our home page without signing in, your image is read once by our AI to show you the result, and is not stored.
Keeping your information safe
Your payments are private — only you can see them when you're signed in. We store your photos and details securely and never make them public, and we work with trusted service providers to keep everything protected.
Your choices
Export — download your processed payments as a spreadsheet anytime.
Delete a payment — remove any payment and its details for good.
Delete your account — from the Account page. This permanently removes all your payments, photos, credit history, and your phone number or email. It can't be undone.
Fix a mistake — if the AI reads something wrong, tell us and a person will check it.
Improving our service
We only use your payments to make PaySnap better if you give us permission first — and only after removing personal details like names and phone numbers. We never quietly use your payments.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, it's removed. We may keep simple totals (like "200 payments this month") that aren't linked to you.
Changes
If we make an important change, we'll let you know in the app before it takes effect.
